Kittling Releases Debut Single Joy

New electronic artist and pop devotee, Kittling, kicks off the new year with his first single 'Joy'; a restless and euphoric ode to cutting loose the ones who weigh you down. With lyrics that bite and synths that kiss it better, 'Joy' is a celebration of “letting go of the people in your life that don’t bring you any happiness.”

'Joy' is the first taste of Kittling’s brand of off-kilter pop, with further singles planned for release during 2017.  Influenced by the melodic sweetness and crisp rhythms of producers like Mura Masa, Louis the Child and local synthpop artist GL, Kittling created 'Joy' as a contemporary take on the big choruses and sparkling pop of the ‘80s.

Inspired by African rhythms, ‘80s synthwave, and armed with a bright, breathless falsetto Kittling’s music is made for bodies that like to think, as well as feel. His previous work as a producer has received acclaim online and locally, with support from Australian institutions Pilerats, Acid Stag & Avenoir, among others.
