The Grey Merchant release 'Blood Book'

Most Irish bands never get round to making a second album so it’s great to hear some new material from Cork’s The Grey Merchant.

They release their new single 'Blood Book' next week on November 29. Taken from their forthcoming second album, The Claude Glass, due for release mid-February 2020, ‘Blood Book’ is the first release from The Grey Merchant since their well-received debut album, Avenue De Rennes in 2017.

Mixed by Ciarán O Shea (Cyclefly, Bush) at Whitewell Studios Berlin, and mastered at Abbey Road Studios with Alex Wharton (Pixies, My Bloody Valentine), ‘Blood Book’ sees the band explore new territory in the studio; the former three-piece bringing on two new members and expanding their sound to encompass synths, sequencers and a broad baritone vocal.
