Middle Kids UK Tour

Australian trio Middle Kids have just released their debut album, Lost Friends, to a wave of critical acclaim, and now look forward to an extensive UK and European Tour this November. The band have also recently shared the excellent video for ‘Don’t Be Hiding’. Hannah says about the song and video: “There are so many things we feel ashamed of and then so often hide. When hidden, it is easy to feel people don't know us and if they did know us, they wouldn't accept us. ‘Don't Be Hiding’ calls us to be honest and brave in sharing who we are whilst learning to love ourselves and each other as imperfect yet cherished people. We made this video at Harry's house. It's relaxed and playful, like the song, as if to create a space to explore this idea of sharing and accepting."

“We made our album, Lost Friends, with the intention to help listeners further discover what is true and beautiful about the world and its people. To us, the phrase ‘Lost Friends’ mourns lost connections but also reveres the very human desire for relationship. We are thankful for the bonds that music creates for us and want you to feel a little more connected by music, too."

On Lost Friends, Hannah Joy, Harry Day and Tim Fitz bring back their knack for haunting hooks, lyrical poignancy and irresistible indie rock appeal that critics praised in their self-titled first EP, released in February 2017. This radiant collection of new songs conjures melodic nostalgia for some of songwriting's very best, rich in heartfelt build and beautiful simplicity.

The new album is the kind of record that sucker-punches you in the gut, revealing its nuances only after repeated listens. The songs’ edges are jagged, the production clean, stray imperfections imbue warmth and a human touch. Middle Kids craft classic hooks and riffs that tangle up in your brain like liquorice and choruses that linger long after the song has faded. And they’ve bonded over a greater sense of what their music should accomplish.
