Alison Moyet Announces New Video And Extra Live Date At London Palladium

Prior to the release of her highly-anticipated new album, Other, on June 16th via Cooking Vinyl, pop legend Alison Moyet has unveiled a video for the recent single ‘Reassuring Pinches’, directed by Steve Gullick, which you can watch below. The video’s industrial setting, noir mood and dark red hues fit perfectly with the dark Germanic arpeggios of ‘Reassuring Pinches’. The track nods to synth pop, but also expands and updates that sound into something resolutely modern, unique and powerful, with Moyet’s majestic voice soaring atop.

The new album bursts with clarity, vitality and freshness, finding Alison at the top of her game - making exactly the adventurous music she wants to at this moment in time, with her voice and songwriting both intense, poetic and thought provoking. ‘Other’ was again catalysed by Alison’s fruitful partnership with producer and song writing collaborator Guy Sigsworth, who (as well as having worked with Björk, Goldie and Madonna) also co-created her last album The Minutes, which debuted at #5 in the national charts and won critical acclaim.

Following the release of ‘Other’, Alison will embark on a worldwide headline tour, including UK and Irish dates from October 27th until November 28th. With Alison’s headline show at London’s Palladium now sold out, a second London show (also at the Palladium) has been added on November 15th, due to huge demand. All tickets are on sale now and info is available on Alison's website.
