Nathan Ball releases 'Cold Hands'

London-based Nathan Ball returns with new single 'Cold Hands'. The track fuses together elements of darker indie and pop with soaring melodies, ambient guitar lines and rousing vocal hooks.

Speaking on the track, Nathan says: I wrote ‘Cold Hands’ at the end of last year, tucked away down in Cornwall. I get influenced by the seasons a lot and winter had properly settled in so there was certainly an element of intensity and darkness creeping into the writing. It's about lost love and new opportunities. I'd been listening to The National a lot at the time and became pretty obsessed with the honesty they were pouring into their lyrics, so I think there was a bit of a nod to them in the process. I demo'd the track with Max (guitarist) and we took it to Ian Grimble (Manic Street Preachers, Daughter, Bear's Den) who we'd recorded ‘Right Place’ with last year. Ian gave the track the space and tension I think it needed and I'm really happy with how it came out.”

This emotionally driven track takes you on a musical road trip yet again showcasing Nathan's vocals. Playing a delightfully inventive brand of indie/pop, Nathan and band mates clearly showcase that there is something a little different about their sound. Last year's touring season saw Nathan opening for Laura Marling and Bombay Bicycle Club, playing festivals (Boardmasters, The Great Escape, Secret Garden Party, Camp Bestival and Boomerang) and selling out headline shows across the UK and Europe.

This summer he's back on the road, kicking off a run of dates in Europe with Matthew and The Atlas throughout February. After a string of shows in the Channel Isles, Nathan returns to the UK in March to play his biggest headliner show to date at London's OMEARA on March 15th, with lots more to follow.
