Jake Bugg Announces New Single With Noah Cyrus
- Written by Marky Edison
Following the release of his acclaimed new album Hearts That Strain, Jake Bugg has announced his new single ‘Waiting’. One of the album favourites, the beautiful duet features the sultry vocals of Noah Cyrus, recommended to sing on the track to Jake and producer David Ferguson by Cyrus’ father Billy-Ray on a visit to the studio. Shot in LA by acclaimed director Andrew Douglas, the striking monochrome video finds Jake and Noah duetting after hours in a night club, perfectly evoking the song’s sultry yet melancholy sound.
Hearts That Strain saw Jake work with Grammy Award winning producer David Ferguson and Matt Sweeney, in Nashville and recording with some of the best players in the history of popular music. The reviews for the record have been nothing short of revelatory with the Times saying in their 4* review that Jake ‘sounds better than ever’, The Guardian that he is ‘Glenn Campbell re-incarnated’ and The I and The Sun giving it glowing write ups in their 4* reviews.
Jake is currently gearing up for his intimate November solo tour (which has recently added a show at the Union Chapel, November 21) and will step out again in the spring for the following UK dates:
