The Mispers Release 2nd EP Dark Bits

  • Written by

Alternative-rock quintet The Mispers have released their Dark Bits EP today via B-Unique.

The new EP features four tracks that provide a snapshot into this young group's lives. It documents their Missing Til Monday Parties, the parties which have become lore on the London indie party circuit, and where the new video for lead EP track 'Dark Bits' has been recorded.

Dark Bits EP, was recorded in Liverpool's Parr Street with producer Rich Turvey. "We have a natural tendency to go to a dark place with lyrics but we try to avoid it," says lead singer Jack Balfour-Scott. "The Mispers might be a sad idea - someone going missing, but we think of it as a happy thing. We all come from different parts of the world and have gone missing together."

You can listen to the lead title track 'Dark Bits' now. The band have stated "Dark Bits is an upbeat track about those unexpected twists and turns that can lead you to some of the darker corners on a night out. It's about following your instincts and going with your most impulsive desires. It is a celebration of those accidental hiccups that lead to chance encounters and the adrenaline rush of the unplanned."

You won’t be waiting long for another EP, as the third will follow in November and their debut album due to next year.
