The Murder Capital Announce UK Tour

Following the recent announcement of their new single ‘Green & Blue’ and after a last month that has seen them fill The Electric Ballroom for an opening slot to Idles, and a series of last minute shows that have swelled through word of mouth. The Murder Capital have now announced a new string of UK headline tour dates for July 2019. Ahead of these dates the band will play three shows at The Great Escape and a London headliner at The Lexington that sold out six weeks ahead.

The Murder Capital recently delivered their second single in the form of the six minute epic, ‘Green & Blue’. A tautly wound exercise in both darkness and light, the song has become an early favourite in their lauded live sets and is paired to a striking, foreboding video directed by Ethan Barrett and Tom Gullam.

With their debut single, ‘Feeling Fades’, the band fulfilled their early promise – delivering a propulsive slice of post-punk recorded with Flood (PJ Harvey, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, Foals). In one of their rare interviews so far, the band have stated they are driven by the genuine desire to affect cultural change, and when front-man James McGovern repeats the lyric “the now elapsed ‘round you and me/ and it kept us all together” on their debut single, you start to believe that they’re capable of achieving just that.

Ionnalee Remembers The Future

The self-made creator and front person of iamamiwhoami embarks on an extensive tour visiting the US and Canada, collaborates with Zola Jesus and Röyksopp on new self-produced album.

In 2018, audiovisual pioneer and subcultural phenomenon ionnalee delivered her first solo-album and feature film Everyone Afraid To Be Forgotten, after enchanting an international audience with her award winning, modern folklore tales through the mixed media project and Youtube mystery iamamiwhoami for almost a decade. All through her own force and own label.

The Swedish singer, songwriter, producer, and director’s acclaimed debut as ionnalee, was subsequently followed by a world-tour; funded alongside her fans through Kickstarter in just five days. The hugely successful tour sold-out dates across Europe, US, and Latin-America — Brazil being one of the places where ionnalee finally got to face her audience live for the first time in her career.

"As the tour finally happened, the audience response knocked me off my feet. It became a real game-changer for me. After my last album was made, there was no plan to go back into the studio. I was exhausted and have struggled with health and motivation to even continue working as an artist. But in between touring I found myself alone in my studio at every given chance, so inspired from that whole synergy I experienced with the audience on stage, that this natural flow happened, and I wanted to give back to them.”

The result is a new full-length album, Remember The Future — released May 31 on her label To Whom It May Concern. "It’s a hopeful visionary album of daring to dream, and shooting for the stars, despite the paradoxical underlying chafing knowledge that we are destroying our planet”, says ionnalee. "To me, the album has a kinetic energy. I felt much more confident and free when producing it, both as an artist, person and a producer.”
