Laura Carbone Releases New Single ‘Cellophane Skin’

Berlin based Laura Carbone recently toured Europe with shoe gaze legends The Jesus And Mary Chain and enjoyed a series of successful shows at SXSW. Her upcoming album was written in LA and embraces the atmosphere of the city of angles. The Mannheim born singer/songwriter started in Deine Jugend, a popular electro-punk band who earned a following in Europe, before going solo and releasing here debut album ‘Sirens’ in 2015.
“I have been listening to a lot of early PJ Harvey and Sonic Youth while writing ‘Cellophane Skin.’ I wanted to explore the extremes in music, playing with noise, feedbacks and chaos. It's a song about being thin skinned, about not being able to absorb outside influences and getting bruises the moment something touches you. It's kind of a manic depressive song with a super strong vibe.” Laura Carbone
