The Head and the Heart Announce New LP and Rare London Show
The Head and the Heart have announced the release of their third album and the video for the lead track.
Signs of Light will be released Friday September 9 via Parlophone and will feature the latest track from the band ‘All We Ever Knew’. You can check the video for the new single below.
The six-piece took a few years out after extensive touring and regrouped in Stinson Beach, California, in the summer of 2015. “It almost felt like we were a new band, trying things we hadn’t tried,” recalls bassist Chris Zasche.“We stayed at a bungalow on the beach. We were ready and excited to be back together.”
On the new LP, Charity Rose Thielen said: “This album isn’t about us now having achieved our dreams. The day we started being able to live off our art was the day we achieved our dreams, in my mind. This is the album where we truly fell into our true voices as those artists.”
Recorded in Nashville with producer Jay Joyce (Fidlar, Cage The Elephant), ‘Signs of Light’ is brighter in tone, with amped up guitars and more universal musical touchstones.
The Head and the Heart will also play a rare London show at Hoxton Hall on Wednesday September 28. Their upcoming North American dates include a huge headline show at the Red Rocks Ampitheater and a headline tour featuring special guest Declan McKenna.
