XamVolo Bares His Teeth

Rising neo-soul master XamVolo shares next track ‘Dark Teeth’, taken from his upcoming debut EP, A Damn Fine Spectacle. Following up previous releases from ‘Lose Love’ and ‘Adored’, ‘Dark Teeth’ once again showcases Xam’s songwriting mastery, rich vocals and compelling mix of beats and chilled vibes. A testament to XamVolo’s innovative style and his way of creating visual worlds within his music, the EP tells a neo-noir story of a young girl who finds herself confronted with a hive containing a black honey substance, (which XamVolo has named ‘Slaize’) capable of granting her every desire.
If previously released single ‘Lose Love’ was her first encounter with the mysterious substance, and ‘Adored’ where she dedicated her time to chasing the dream, XamVolo explains that “Dark Teeth is the third part of the story and details a critically low point in the character’s journey: she fails to receive the approval she so desires, and as the haze clears, a fight or flight response kicks in –it’s not pretty”
Released via Universal on April 13, A Damn Fine Spectacle is an inventive concept EP and serves as a teasing distillation of what is to be explored on his forthcoming debut album, All The Sweetness on the Surface. XamVolo has just completed a huge arena support tour across the UK with Paloma Faith which will culminate with his own headline show at London’s Omeara on the April 11.
