Tame Impala Announce Third LP Plans

  • Written by

Although no set date, Psychedelic rockers Tame Impala have revealed that there will be a new album released later this year.

Following up from 2012's Lonerism, the latest LP has been confirmed by Consequence of Sound via an email from the band’s management company, Spinning Top Music.

The band's keyboardist Jay Watson implied last year that their new material would sound "less rock and more electronic". So not to reveal everything he went on to say that "It's probably gonna be less rock again and more electronic, even more than the last one. It's gonna be awesome, everything he [frontman Kevin Parker] does is awesome."

Parker has been keeping himself busy with the release of single 'Daffodils', his collaboration with Mark Ronson. You can expect to hear more from Parker with the release of Ronson's latest album out at the end of this month (Sunday January 25). He lends his vocals to a further two tracks  ‘Leaving Los Feliz’ and ‘Summer Breaking’.
