Listen To The First Track From Erasure’s New Album

Erasure (Andy Bell and Vince Clarke) have released the first track from their brand new album, World Be Gone, out 19 May 2017.  The band’s seventeenth studio album, is the follow up to the The Violet Flame (2014), and follows the band’s recent 30th anniversary celebrations.

World Be Gone sees the award-winning songwriters in a more reflective mood, giving the world and recent political upheavals a thoughtful examination and, as highlighted on the painted artwork showing a ship's masthead rising up from being submerged in the stormy waters, looking forward to the future.

Explains Vince Clarke, “Obviously the current political climate lends itself to lots of ideas”, Andy Bell continues, “I think there’s an underswell of opinion, and people are slowly waking up. I’m hoping that people will take the album in a positive way, that they’ll use it as optimistic rabble-rousing music.”

The enduring BRIT and Ivor Novello winning pop duo have released a staggering number of albums, including 5 UK Number 1’s and 17 top 10 singles (35 singles charted in the UK Top 40) and their recent best of, Always, saw Erasure entering the Top 10 album charts once again.

Erasure are delighted to have been invited as special guests on Robbie Williams’ 2017 stadium tour taking place in the summer. Ahead of those dates, Erasure perform three sold out headline shows: 27 May in Glasgow, 28 May in Manchester and 29 May at London’s historic Roundhouse.

The King’s Parade New Single ‘Haze’ Out Now

Acclaimed London soul quartet The King’s Parade have just released their new single ‘Haze’. The song leads with a rich walking bass riff and warm blues guitar before frontman Olly Corpe breaks into an effortlessly smooth croon, which swoons among the themes of love, propelled by a powerful gospel backing vocal. The result bridges between classic blues and carefully crafted pop, similar to the likes of Alabama Shakes, The Black Keys and Leon Bridges.

Regarding the single The King’s Parade say, “’Haze’ describes the feeling of helplessness when you fall hard for someone. You're drawn in and you indulge yourself in the moment. You surrender to that feeling and see where it takes you."  It is the first taste of new music following the release of the band’s debut EP Vagabond.

Vagabond built the band a fervent fanbase, which has seen them sell out headline shows at London’s Hoxton Bar & Kitchen, Oslo and a residency at the legendary Ronnie Scott’s. They’ve also become a strong live draw in Germany, selling out headline shows across the country.
