Amber Mark Shares 'Lose My Cool' Video

3.33 am is the debut EP from NYC songwriter and vocalist Amber Mark, released via PMR Records on May 12. The lead single taken from the seven-track EP, 'Lose My Cool', is a breezy, uptempo blend of future R&B and introspective lyricism and is now available to buy and stream on all services.

Spending her formative years travelling the world and imbibing music, art and culture alongside her mother, Amber Mark's artistry is a kaleidoscopic mix of influences. From the jazz, soul and Indian classical music she listened to at home to the hip-hop and downtempo electronica she soaked up along her travels, these influences are reflected on 3.33 am, a collection of songs that tell the story of the loss of her mother in 2015, as well as her resulting experiences of grief, acceptance and overcoming.

3.33 am is entirely written and produced by Amber herself. Each track on the EP is formed around a stage of her grieving process; "Isolation, questioning, sadness, overcoming, anger and regret… Those were my stages." Despite the themes at the core of this EP, the music is fresh and filled with optimistic melody. "I didn't want it to be this sad, depressing EP" said Amber, "I wanted it to uplift people who had gone through it."

Mac Demarco Shares New Track, Announces Live Dates

Hipster’s favourite, Mac DeMarco, offers up another taste of what’s to come with ‘On The Level’. Following the more acoustic-minded ‘This Old Dog’ and ‘My Old Man’, Mac shows once again that he’s at his best with the slower jams. It’s another contemplative number giving a further glimpse into his relationships with his kin. “This record has a lot to do with my family and my life right now and the way I’m feeling,” he says. “One of the main goals for this record was trying to make sure I retained some kind of realness. That’s the bottom line.”

Mac (guitar, vocals) and band – Jon Lent (bass, percussion), Joe McMurray (drums) Alec Meen (keys) and Andy White (guitar) – will tour Europe and North America surrounding the release of This Old Dog with two shows at London’s 02 Academy Brixton on May 30th and May 31st. The May 31st date is now sold out, with a very limited number of tickets available for the May 30th show here. Mac has also added live dates in the UK for November 2017 with shows in Nottingham, Liverpool, Glasgow and Manchester. Additionally, Mac is playing a slew of festivals including Coachella, Primavera Sound, Oya, Lollapalooza, Governor’s Ball, as well as a headline slot at End Of The Road.

Mac DeMarco’s This Old Dog is available for pre-order now. All iTunes pre-orders come with Instrumentals of This Old Dog and instant downloads of ‘My Old Man’, ‘This Old Dog’, and ‘On The Level’.
