Devil Electric Announce New Label And Video

Melbourne’s Devil Electric are proud to announce a worldwide deal with German heavyweight label Kozmik Artifactz for the release of their debut self-titled album.  The 37 minute, nine-track debut will be available digitally and in three colourways on 180gm vinyl, with a release date of August 11.

Fronted by the gracious and haunting female presence of Pierina O’Brien, Devil Electric are a riff-heavy 4-piece rock n’ roll band. Lead single ‘Hypnotica’ is the final track from their debut record, a six and a half minute heavy-blues infused fuzzed-out jam that transports the mind into the swelling, darker depths of rock n’ roll.

Since forming mid-2015 Devil Electric have supported Truckfighters (Sweden), The Sword (USA), Endless Boogie (USA), Kadaver (Ger) toured the east coast with The SIGIT (Indonesia) & played CherryRock Festival in AC/DC Lane. They signed with Kozmik Artifactz (Ger) following the success of their debut EP, The Gods Below, which saw an independent release over two 7” vinyl editions.

Joshua James Unveils New Single ‘Bang/Flux’

London based DJ/producer Joshua James, today announces his debut release, and shares the track ‘Bang’. The double A side single, ‘Bang/ Flux’, will be released on his new label, Three Triple Two, on 17th June. Joshua has been quietly and consistently carving out a name for himself, as a resident DJ on the London underground over the last few years.  As a solid selector and purveyor of all things house and techno, he has made his mark at queer, cult night Savage.  Lucy Fizz, resident dancer at Savage, stars in the video for ‘Flux’.  Following Joshua’s Room 2 takeover at XOYO, during Heidi’s ‘Jackathon’ residency in 2016, he returned in April this year, to the newly refurbished Room 2, to play all night long for The Black Madonna’s ‘We Still Believe’ residency.

Alongside his residencies, Joshua has been in the studio, remixing artists including Beth Ditto, Nimmo, Klyne, KDA, Boxed In, The Very Best, Rozi Plain and London Grammar as well as working on his own original productions.

‘Bang’, which is available to stream now, is a punchy, 4/4 filled workout, merging in snappy hi-hats with shimmering synth lines and addictive grooves. On the flip is ‘Flux’, taking things in a deeper direction, chugging undertows sitting aside funky breakdowns and multi-colour melodies.  The tracks have already gathered tastemaker club and radio support from DJs including Jacques Renault, Nicole Moudaber, Shadow Child (Rinse) Boris Dlugosch, Moodymanc, Jason Bentley (KCRW) and Horse Meat Disco.
