Arrows Of Love Share New Single 'Desire'

In August, East London art-rockers Arrows Of Love will release their eagerly anticipated second album, PRODUCT, an eleven track masterpiece and an epic amalgamation of blisteringly heavy guitars and earnest, heartfelt lyrics. Here, the collective weave a world which is in equal parts powerful and vulnerable, where poetry meets pure punk attitude. The LP was produced by Mikko Gordon (Thom Yorke, Gaz Combes), in the studio he built himself at Goldsmiths University, and mastered by Bob Weston of Shellac. Lead track ‘Signal’ was also given a mix by celebrated engineer Margo Broom (Fat White Family).

As with their acclaimed 2014 debut, Everything’s Fucked, the album is a striking and beautiful critique on modern life, politics, philosophy and the fight against apathy. PRODUCT is a call to arms, even more so than previous outputs, one which has been forged over the years and created by their own circumstance.

The five-piece, lead by co-writers Nima and Nuha, recently found themselves backed by the UK's highly competitive PRS Momentum Music Fund. After accepting an invite from CMJ Music Marathon the band confirmed a string of US dates, followed by a headline London show with Parallel Lines before the album recording began.

Arrows Of Love also have a reputation amongst fans as something of a live phenomenon. Originally aligned with the early East London wave of bohemian rock bands, it was their fierce performances and creativity that has taken them across the globe, to the likes of SXSW and End of the Road, to sharing stages with the likes of The Fall, Buzzcocks, British Sea Power, 80’s Matchbox B-Line Disaster, The Wytches and many more. Drawing comparisons to the discordant, emotive musicianship of Sonic Youth to the raw power of McLusky, this second LP sees a band fully diversified, and truly unique.

The Lemon Twigs Announce 'Brothers Of Destruction' EP

Slated for September 22nd, Brothers of Destruction was written and recorded by the D’Addario brothers – Brian (20) and Michael (18) – on their 8-track at home in New York during Spring 2015, not long after recording their debut album, Do Hollywood. The half dozen songs, most of which already feature in The Lemon Twigs’ searing live shows, will be made available digitally and as a 12” vinyl.

“In the beginning of 2015 we had songs left over from the Do Hollywood sessions, so we decided to record them at home in New York on our 8-track. Many of you will recognize some of the songs from our live shows. They’ve changed a lot over the past year, but these are the original versions. We consider the EP the last chapter of the Do Hollywood era of our group. So enjoy!”

Alongside live members Megan Zeankowski (bass) and Danny Ayala (vocals, keyboards), The Lemon Twigs will bring their idiosyncratic live show to the UK later this year. A full list of worldwide dates can be found at thelemontwigs.com.
