Silent Descent Announce New Album

Metal six-piece Silent Descent will release their eagerly anticipated new album, Turn To Grey, on  November 30. Being once called ‘Enter Shikari for sweaty goths’, this forthcoming album represents the approach of a band keen to move forward, making a record for themselves as well as their loyal fanbase. It represents all the depth and diversity of their influences and catches the essence of the band more so than any of their previous releases.

Having been a band now for over a decade, Silent Descent's back catalogue is more than impressive; they’ve played numerous slots at Download, Full Force and Bloodstock Festivals, have previously been featured in Metal Hammer, Kerrang and Powerplay magazines and have sold out shows up and down the UK.

It's taken time for the band to recover from the setback of being signed to the illusive Rising Records. The impact that caused was not just financially draining but also mentally exhausting. In 2017 the band are back and stronger than ever; it may have taken four years for this record to be ready, but we can guarantee that it is definitely worth the wait.

‘Turn To Grey’ track listing:

1) X (51.362820, 0.213735)

2) Turn To Grey

3) Vortex (feat. Bjorn 'Speed' Strid of Soilwork)

4) Rob Rodda

5) Sticky Fingers

6) Voices

7) Gravesend

8) Under The Eagle

9) Paths Winding

10) Hurt Like You’ve Never Been Loved

11) Back To Where I Belong

12) Break The Skies

Bishop Briggs Releases New Video For ‘Dream’

Teleport/Island Records artist Bishop Briggs, whose massive RIAA-certified gold single ‘River’ amassed over 40 million global streams and soared to #3 on the Alternative chart, releases her new video for her single ‘Dream’. Directed by Dano Cerny (The Chainsmokers’ ‘Closer’ featuring Halsey, Elle King’s ‘Good Girls’, and many more) and shot on location in Los Angeles, the Wes Anderson-inspired video follows Bishop through a never-ending dream where she finds the strength to overcome depth and darkness. ‘Dream’ will be included on Bishop’s highly anticipated debut album, due in Spring 2018.

“I'm really proud of this music video. I feel like Dano very fearlessly dove into the mindset of a dream sequence; full of characters and haunting visuals. It was really important that ‘Dream’ kept the balance of strength and total vulnerability - which was my exact headspace when it was being written. It's a rare moment when you truly feel that the visual matches the words you've written on the paper but I think Dano proves that there can be perfect harmony between the worlds.”

Affirming her exploding fan base, Bishop’s 10-week tour, including opening dates with alt-J and Bleachers, will hit multiple return bookings (at separate venues) along the way, before wrapping up at the Fillmore in Philadelphia (November 16), the House of Blues in Boston (November 17), Terminal 5 in New York (November 20), and Brooklyn Steel (November 21), the latter dates all opening for Bleachers.
