Lizzy Farrall Debut EP 'All I Said Was Never Heard'

UK born singer songwriter Lizzy Farrall has announced her debut EP, All I Said Was Never Heard, which will be released on the January 5 via Pure Noise Records. She has premiered the new video for the song 'Better With' which is taken from the EP.

The EP is lyrically about situations she went through in her teenage years & forms a diary of that time. Speaking on 'Better With' and new the EP, Lizzy Farrall says “The lyrics are about finding someone who completely takes you out of a rut you've been stuck in, but also you have a fear that the feelings you have are not mutual due to similar situations in past relationships which have left you with lack of trust."

She continues, "For the music video I wanted it to have a very teenage angst vibe which reflects the lyrics.  Henry Cox (of Boston Manor) who filmed and produced it came up with the idea to have the storyline in reverse which gives the video a really cool twist." As well as announcing her new EP, Lizzy Farrall will also be supporting Seaway on tour this coming January.

First Single From Half Forward Line

Half Forward Line is the new band from Brian Kelly (So Cow), Niall Murphy (Oh Boland) and drummer/recordist Ciaran o Maoláin. The trio have crafted a short sharp dose of power pop, recorded over two days in the lounge of a derelict rural Irish pub. The Back Of Mass takes in tales of wedded bliss, social anxiety and the perils of letting someone try on your glasses. Infused with the pioneering jangling spirit of the Flying Nun roster, along with garage rock sonics and Kelly's inimitable brand of buzzsaw pop and slice-of-life lyrics, Half Forward Line have delivered a half-hour album hallmarked by hook-laden songs.

The Back Of Mass is the rear of the church, near the doors, home of the last people to come in and the first people to leave. There's the whispered running commentary on the ceremony. There is the shifting of weight from foot to foot, counting down the minutes. People who would probably rather not be there, but would rather the insurance when their final day comes.

Half Forward Line will be releasing their album on cassette on Rusted Rail of Galway, with the CD version on Jigsaw Records of Seattle.
