HowTheLightGetsIn2018: New Site, New Venues, New Events

Just eight weeks to go to HowTheLightGetsIn 2018. And they’ve got a whole lot of brand new experiences and events coming your way. Heading the list is a spectacular new riverside festival site stretched along the banks of the glorious River Wye, just a stone's throw from the Globe Site.

The new Riverside site is twice the size and now hosts all of the biggest festival events.  The headline music venue, the Hat, is joined by Riverside Disco, their first non-stop dance venue and The People's Front Room with live favourites from a stellar musical collective.

Then there's the Arena, a brand new debate and comedy venue, the Art and Cinema tent, and The Waterfront Bar & Kitchen with live music throughout the day in a great spot facing the river.  And there will be all the regular favourites and so much more; vintage rides and a sandpit for the children, Pacha Mama's chill out zone, and the Spiegel Circus with our late night Masked Balls.

On the back of the free download track ‘An Accident Waiting To Happen (Awoo Woo Woo)’ the band released their debut single ‘Home Is The Hardest Place To Find’ in August 2013. Quiet as a Mouse released their next single ‘Casketcase’ in February 2014. ‘Casketcase’ like ‘Home Is The Hardest Place To Find’ was produced by Marcus Mackay (Frightened Rabbit, Snow Patrol) and mastered by Chris Potter (Arctic Monkeys).

In August 2014 QAAM released their debut EP ‘British Flag’ which was engineered and mixed by Liam Watson (The White Stripes) at Toerag Studios in London and mastered by Noel Summerville (The Clash, Aphex Twin). The band released their 2nd EP, Memorybox (recorded at Ca Va in Glasgow), in April 2015, which was coincided with launch shows in Edinburgh, Glasgow & London.
