Mother Night Play Sheffield Tomorrow Night

From a cold and ancient island in the Outer Hebrides, welcome to the world of Mother Night and their new single, ‘Not Ourselves’. Mother Night recently announced that their debut album, A Lifetime of Uninhibited Pleasure, will be released this April, and it might be one of the most exciting new records of 2019, a thrilling dreamy collage of hook-filled ‘Pagan Pop’ spread across nine tracks.

But before we get ahead of ourselves, a new taster from the upcoming record is out now in the form of new single ‘Not Ourselves’, a stellar introduction to a group you’re going to be hearing a lot about over the next year.

Crafted on an island in the Outer Hebrides, Mother Night have already been out supporting the likes of Public Service Broadcasting, Sugar Candy Mountain, and Colin Macleod, whilst penning an album deal with the State51 Conspiracy.

Tasteful Turmoil Feel The Phantom Fear

Here’s another gem from Finland’s Inverse Records. How refreshing it is to hear a metal record that actually sounds like a band playing together.

“Thrash metal... Death metal... Groove metal... This is the recipe of Tasteful Turmoil. Since 2015 the band has been on the path of heavy metal destruction and hasn't shown any signs of slowing down. The music gets fuelled by the many influences from many different genres in the heavy metal realm.

The first album, Protect The Wasted (2016), showed the world that Turmoil is alive and kicking and the second album The Phantom Fear will cement the band as more mature and heavy hitting band that won’t leave anybody cold. Get ready for ear-piercing shrieks, chainsaw-like riffing and backbreaking rumble action!”
