Sunset Sons Announce Intimate Tour

Sunset Sons have announced a run of four UK underplay shows, including London’s The Camden Assembly on June 26. The shows follow up their November tour as special guests of Nothing But Thieves. They are Sunset Sons’ first run of headline dates since a sold-out summer tour in support of the 2018 EP, The River, and arrive just ahead of summer festival dates including Truck Festival and Boardmasters.

The tour announcement will be closely followed by the release of a new single, ‘Problems’ - produced by Catherine Marks (The Big Moon, Foals) – next Friday. Tickets for the live dates are on-sale now.

‘Problems’ will be the first taste of Sunset Sons’ forthcoming second album, the long-anticipated follow up to the UK Top 30 debut, Very Rarely Say Die. It was produced by Jacquire King and James Lewis. Touring around that release saw Sunset Sons headline venues including London’s Koko and Shepherd’s Bush Empire, making next month’s run of shows a rare chance to catch the band in intimate-sized venues.

The Stray Cats Rock It Off

Legendary rockers Stray Cats have returned with the original line up and their first new album in 26 Years. 40 will be released on May 24 by Surfdog/Mascot ahead of their 40th Anniversary tour, June 23-27. Brian Setzer (guitar, vocals), Lee Rocker (bass, vocals) and Slim Jim Phantom (drums, vocals), are the original founding members of the acclaimed American rock and roll trio.

Talking about the song Slim Jim Phantom says; “'Rock It Off' may be my favourite track on 40 - when the guitar riff comes in, I stand up a little straighter and imagine a peacock strutting. It's got a shuffle groove that's tailor made for me to do the bop-bop-a-bop - the video captures the fun and good vibes we all shared while making the whole album.”

The Stray Cats recorded 40 at Blackbird Studios in Nashville in late 2018 following their first North American shows in 10 years, with four concerts including sold-out headlining shows in Las Vegas and the Pacific Amphitheatre in Costa Mesa, CA before wildly enthusiastic audiences. Still buzzing from the thrill of playing together again and crowd response, they went into the studio with producer Peter Collins (Rush, Bon Jovi, The Brian Setzer Orchestra) and engineer Vance Powell (Jack White, Chris Stapleton, Arctic Monkeys).
