  • Published in News

Skindred, Terrorvision, The Skints, Newton Faulkner, A, Black Futures and more join headliners The Amazons and The Fratellis at Charisworth Farm, Blandford, Dorset on May 1- 3. Teddy Rocks Festival started from humble beginnings in a country pub, The Greyhound Pub in Blandford, North Dorset in 2012. Founder of TRF, Tom Newton (29), wanted to help fundraise for the charity Teddy20 which was started by his parents to raise money for children and families fighting Cancer after the sad loss of his brother, Ted Newton, who was 10 years old when he lost his life to a rare bone cancer.

In 2016, Teddy Rocks moved to a bigger site to increase capacity and in 2017 the festival took the plunge and relocated to an even bigger premises and secured a permanent license at its new home, Charisworth Farm, in Blandford Forum, Dorset,  where it can offer weekend camping and car parking alongside 4 stages and a host of food vendors, bars, and activities.

In 2019, the festival raised a whopping £107,943.  To this day all profits received from the sale of tickets are donated to Teddy20. The festival has raised over £250,000 with help from previous headliners which include: The Darkness, The Zutons, Feeder, Ash, Twin Atlantic, Modestep, Scouting For Girls, From The Jam, The Hoosiers, and Don Broco. In 2016, Tom Newton was awarded The Daily Mirror’s Pride of Britain ITV Fundraiser of the Year in the Meridian West region and Fundraiser of the Year by the south’s leading radio station Wave 105.

“This years line up is something we are super proud of! We are honoured to have The Fratellis with a huge catalogue of hits and a great live show -  we cannot wait to bring them to Dorset. The Fratellis Announce New Album And Tour

  • Published in News

The Fratellis have returned. After four albums and hundreds of sell-out shows across the world, the irrepressible Scottish trio are thrilled to announce their fifth studio album In Your Own Sweet Time, released by Cooking Vinyl on March 9. Maturing from the roguish young scallywags of Costello Music, into a chameleonic powerhouse with a sound that is bigger, bolder, and still shot through with a whip-smart, pitch-black sense of humour. To coincide with the release of In Your Own Sweet Time, The Fratellis will embark on an eight date tour of the UK ending on their home turf in Glasgow.

Time The Fratellis are offering a taste of what’s to come with first track ‘The Next Time We Wed’ – a hyperactive slice of mischief matching the Fratellis’ characteristic impish theatricality and wit with ricocheting Prince-like guitar riffs. Jon Fratelli says of ‘The Next Time We Wed’: “It started life, like a lot of the songs on In Your Own Sweet Time, as a completely different song. It morphed from a country song in D Minor to a disco song in A Major; an unusually bright and warm day in Glasgow may be to blame for this.”

With In Your Own Sweet Time, The Fratellis are teaming up once again with six-time Grammy and Mercury nominated American producer Tony Hoffer (Beck, The Kooks, M83, Belle & Sebastian). The record boasts all the muscular energy of American pop music of the 1970s with the testosterone-fuelled virtuosity of the best British rock.
