Bearded Theorys Spring Gathering Sold Out

Bearded Theory’s Spring Gathering, Derbyshire’s award-winning, family-friendly festival, is delighted to announce that all tickets have now sold out for this year’s event, which features incredible headliners Robert Plant, Blossoms, Jimmy Cliff and Sleaford Mods, alongside a bill of more than 150 other live acts across 4-days.

There are no admission tickets remaining in any category. A small number of car parking passes, and a few tickets on the dedicated National Express Coach service from destinations around the UK are still on sale for pre-existing ticket holders only.

Bearded Theory Festival organisers are urging anyone without a ticket not to travel to the festival as none will be available at the gates, and to exercise extreme caution if attempting to purchase tickets on the secondary market.

Michael Eccleshall, Bearded Theory spokesperson says, “All of us at Bearded Theory are delighted that our Spring Gathering has once again sold out in advance. Despite an incredible line up for 2018, it can never be taken for granted. This incredible achievement is a testament to the hard work of all our staff and volunteers, and once again shows the incredible loyalty that Bearded Theory has built up over the years. We want to say a massive thank you to all those ticket holders who have supported us once again”.

Mamas Gun Share New Single

Mamas Gun are sharing their new single, ‘On The Wire’ the latest to be taken from their forthcoming album, Golden Days, which is due out via Candelion on May 18. This new cut follows in the wake of the Lauren Laverne-supported ‘London Girls’ and other tastemaker-approved singles including ‘You Make My Life A Better Place’, ‘Strangers On A Street’ and ‘I Need A Win’. The new album will be supported with a four-date UK run throughout June, taking in a headline slot at London’s Omeara on June 29.

Speaking about the new single, frontman and founder of the band, Andy Platts says: “The lyrics to ‘On The Wire’ were written in the haze of media misinformation and heated debate in the weeks leading up to the so called ‘Brexit’ vote. It was a rally cry for people to think carefully, to make their decision rationally and not on the throw of some emotionally loaded dice fuelled by a misguided sense of patriotism”.

Alongside the likes of Charles Bradley, Curtis Harding and the Dap Kings, Mamas Gun have helped fuel the vanguard of 21st century soul, as well as spawning Top 10 hits on four continents. In addition to securing support slots with the likes of Beverley Knight and Raphael Saadiq, Mamas Gun have performed at global and domestic music festivals including WOMAD, Secret Garden Party, Wilderness and Greenroom with an intimate sell out return in London earlier this year.
