Festival No.6 has unveiled its new Welsh and International stages for this year’s festival along with its first brilliant arts and culture line-up, including acclaimed best-selling authors, comedians, poets, film-makers, artists, a new cinema and another new stage in the heart of Portmeirion. They join an outstanding music line-up that already includes Beck, London Grammar, Bonobo and many more.

Welsh music specialists Huw Stephens and John Rostron from the Sŵn Festival will be offering a bespoke mix of Welsh artists and collaborators with highlights including music producer, DJ, radio presenter, and musician Gwenno, folk singer Chris Jones, Candelas, Gai Toms, Y Pencadlys, Kizzy Crawford and fresh from touring New York, the Welsh beat-boxer, rapper and producer Ed Holden, aka Mr. Phormula.

Stephens of Sŵn has said "We are pleased to be part of this year's Festival No.6 with an all Welsh line-up featuring some wonderful musicians. Geraint Jarman has been an influence and inspiration for decades in Wales; a poet, barrier breaker and new music supporter. Yr Ods have played Sŵn many times and are one of Wales' finest young guitar bands."

This year the International Stage is organised and hosted by Andy Votel and Doug Shipton and the Finders Keepers DJs. It features a diverse bill comprised of Boston based alt rapper and producer Edan, Stereolab vocalist Laetitia Sadier, Lundy Island’s finest H. Hawkline, Plank, Tender Prey, The Wharves and Mancunian chanteuse Jane Weaver. The stage also plays host to an exclusive set from actor, writer, comedian and musician Matt Berry.

For the arts and culture line-up there will be a special Dylan Thomas centenary tribute featuring actor Rhys Ifans, director Kevin Allen (Twin Town), BBC6 Music poet-in-residence Murray Lachlan Young who are currently filming a big screen adaption of Under Milk Wood. They will be joined by BBC6 Music presenter and author Stuart Maconie and many more.

Others announced include author and creator of The Fast Show Charlie Higson, fellow Fast Show star Simon Day, and Shlomo, the World Record holding beatboxer. Songwriter Julian Cope will read from his debut novel One Three One, film-maker, novelist and critic Jonathan Meades will talk about his new memoir An Encyclopedia of Myself and UK’s leading food critic Jay Rayner (The Observer, The One Show) will explain why he is A Greedy Man in a Hungry World.  Heavenly Films will present a festival premiere of Nowhere is Home, followed by a Q&A with Kevin Rowlands and Jimmy Paterson.

On this year’s comedy bill will be Josh Widdicombe, Henning Wehn, Robin Ince, Tony Law, Phil Kay, Sara Pascoe, James Acaster, Marcel lucont, Vikki Stone, John Robins, Suzi Ruffell, Alfie Brown, Ed Gamble, Mat Ewins,  Nish Kumar, Hayley Ellis and many more.
