Mad Cool Festival Announces Additions To 2017 Lineup

Mad Cool 2017 gets even cooler. Foals, Catfish And The Bottlemen, Quique Gonzalez, Slowdive, Savages and many more join Headliners Foo Fighters, Green Day And Kings Of Leon. Taking place in Madrid from the 6th – 8th of July at the city’s Caja Magica site, the three - day event will be welcoming Cage The Elephant, SBTRKT (DJ Set), Fuel Fandango, Jagwar Ma, Floating Points (DJ Set), Depedro, Unkle, Neuman, Benjamin Booker, Junior Boys, WAS, Full, Star Slinger, Viva Suecia, Joseph, Anna Of The North, Los Zigarros, Sexy Zebras and Aurora & The Betrayers y Shinova to the lineup.

Only in its second year, Mad Cool is already establishing itself as one of the festival season’s prime attractions. Speaking about the wide variety of acts on show across the festival, Mad Cool’s Director Javier Arnaiz said  “Our goal is to create a festival with an eclectic line up where you can enjoy a global experience that differs from others. A festival that can have main international artists, future talents that are growing and emerging bands which are the upcoming generation. We believe in supporting the emergent scene as this is vital for us in order to develop bands.”

Mad Cool will also be welcoming the winners of their talent competition, who will be performing at the festival. They are: Cannibals, Not My Circus, Ganges, Veintiuno, The Amsterdammers, Fizzy Soup, Dear Audrey, Paracusia, Chelsea Boots and Nora Norman.

Tickets for the festival are priced at 150€ for a weekend pass and 69€ for a day ticket, and are available here

The price for a weekend pass rises to 170€ from 1st March

Glastonbury Announce Florence & the Machine, Alt J, The Chemical Brothers, Hozier, The Vaccines and So Much More

Glastonbury have announced some top names for the first round of acts for their 2015 lineup, although no Sunday headliner has been confirmed yet.

This is without a doubt one of the most high profile festivals this year. Joining the previously announced headliners (Foo Fighters, Kanye West and Lionel Ritchie) are the likes of Florence & The Machine, Alt J, Motorhead, Mary J Blige, Patti Smith and The Chemical Brothers.

With such a diverse range of music it's hard to believe that the organisers of Worthy Farm could do any better. But there are more surprises and delights in store.
